Portable X-ray machines are less well known, but just as important. Portable X-ray machines are indispensable for use in ambulances in remote medical emergencies, or out-of clinic veterinary use such as farms or livestock treatment.

One important challenge in manufacturing portable X-ray machines is ensuring sufficient power and accuracy for use away from the convenience of a large hospital power supply.
